Our core beliefs can be characterized as Orthodox & Reformed
By Orthodox we mean that we align ourselves with the theology and doctrines of the early church as encapsulated in such creeds as the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed. By Reformed we mean that we hold to the "course correction" initiated during the Reformation, a time in which the central teachings of Christianity were recovered and reinstated. These central teachings are known as the Reformation solas (sola is Latin, meaning "alone") and are rightly viewed as the most important Christian doctrines: Salvation is revealed in Scripture alone (sola Scriptura), accomplished by Christ alone (solo Christo), by means of grace alone (sola gratia), through faith alone (sola fide), for God's glory alone (soli Deo gloria).
A more full statement of our beliefs can be found in our Roosevelt Statement of Faith document.
In addition, Roosevelt is part of the Acts 29 church planting network and in accord with their statement of faith. For detailed information, see Acts 29's doctrine page.
