Roosevelt Community Church has a new staff member, and we’re happy to make introductions!!

Where did you grow up and how did you end up here?
I grew up in Portland, Oregon, never moving until I came to Arizona. To attend college at Grand Canyon University, I made the move to Phoenix where I met my husband and never left!
What’s your job? I am the Executive Assistant at Roosevelt Community Church working under Pastor Vermon and Pastor John.
Why are you at Roosevelt?
Since 2014, my husband, Michael, and I attended New City Church. Through much prayer, after receiving the job at RCC, we decided to make this church our home. We have only been attending for 1 month.
How long have you been here?
1 month at RCC, but 7 years in AZ.
How long have you been a Christian?
This might sound “textbook,” but I have been a believer my whole life. I remember accepting Christ at the age of 4 or 5 for my parents to videotape, but I don’t have any memories of not 100% believing in God. We had a relationship far before I made the “official prayer.”
What are your hobbies?
Fun fact about me: I am a certified personal trainer! One of my hobbies is trying new things within the fitness industry to broaden my knowledge. One thing I have been investing in lately is Yoga. My husband is half-Korean with much of his family speaking the language fluently. Minus his parents, it is very hard to communicate with the extended family due to the language barrier. So, several months ago, I picked up learning to read and write Korean! My last totally nerdy hobby is playing ps4 😉
Name two things on your bucket list.
1. Learning to speak another language fluently
2. Visiting South Korea (we are attempting to plan a trip in late 2021…so excited!!)
What is your favorite book?
Hadassah: One Night with the King by Tommy Tenney
What is your favorite movie?
I don’t really have one! I’m not a huge movie person and prefer to binge shows.
