Getting To Know John!

Where did you grow up and how did you end up here? I grew up in a bunch of places from the United States of America (TX, SC, GA, NY, NJ, AZ, and a couple more of states). My stepdad was in the military so we moved around a lot. I even lived in Germany and Korea for a short stint.

What’s your job? Executive Pastor of Mission and Vision. Essentially, everything that Pastor Vermon does not want to do lol.

Why are you at Roosevelt? Because I love the people and pastoring and preaching. I believe the Lord has called me to be here.

How long have you been here? In January, it will be 6 years.

How long have you been a Christian? I heard the gospel message and believed it when I was 19. I’m now 31.
What are your hobbies? Playing basketball, traveling to various places, eating food, reading books, and playing Monopoly.

Name two things on your bucket list. Travel somewhere in Africa and Israel

What is your favorite book? Umm…probably Emotionally, Healthy, Spiritually by Pete Scazzerro

What is your favorite movie? It depends on the day, but it will be either Friday, The Pursuit of Happiness, Hitch, or the Notebook.
