ROOSEVELT STUDENT UNION

Roosevelt Student Union is a community built to equip our teenagers
to take ownership of their faith. Through bible study, fellowship, special
events, and retreats we want to equip our teens to know God better and
with the tools they need to engage the culture around them.

In the words of 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity."

These words speak directly to our mission – to empower and uplift our youth, showing them that they are not only seen but valued in the eyes of God and our community.

Every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, we come together to break bread, engage in meaningful liturgy, delve into inspiring teachings, and of course, get into epic playtime!

Curious or have questions?

We aim to live out 1 Timothy 4:12, being examples in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, creating an atmosphere where our youth can shine and grow in their faith journey.

1. What's the deal with the Student Union at Roosevelt Community Church?

The Student Union is where the party's at, happening on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays. It's a chill time for us to hang out, connect, and grow together – spiritually and personally.

2. What goes down during these Student Union events?

First off, we kick it off with a 3-course meal – because great conversations start with great food, right? Then, we dive into liturgy mode, trying out cool stuff like centering prayer, worship, or Lectio Divina.

It's all about getting closer to God and sharing the journey with each other. Finally, we wrap it up with some wisdom-sharing in a teaching session led by Dana and other awesome leaders.

3. How can I get in on the action or ask questions about the Student Union?

Easy! Just hit up Dana Dailey – she's the go-to person for all things Student Union. Drop her an email or hit her up with any burning questions or ideas you've got.

4. When and where are these Student Union shindigs happening?

We're talking 1st and 3rd Saturdays – mark your calendars! As for the deets on location and timing, check the announcements or shoot a message to Dana Dailey for the latest scoop.

5. Can I bring my buddies to the Student Union events?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier. Bring your friends along, and let's make these gatherings epic together.

6. Is the Student Union only for a specific age group?

Yes, our focus is 6th-12th grade!

7. Can I help?

Yes! Contact Dana for more details! We need caring adults who love our youth! And we can always use a meal or folks to help serve dinner. There are several ways to show our youth how important they are to us!
